The US TV sites (CBS etc) and some other video sites block users from outside the US. I tried using proxies and
I downloaded ultraVPN but these didn't get around the geo-blocking. Is there any way to configure ultravpn to use a US address to get around the blocking?

I can't find how to use this IP 76.73.3.162.

And in another topic you talked about using ".net" servers. But again, how to use this tip ?

Is there any Help File ?

ok... finally, after reading a lot more posts, i found how to.

I just add this line in the "client.ovpn" (located in /UltraVPN/config)

remote 76.73.3.162 24

It could help others.

thanks for writing the solution for others to use.
but still when I add "remote 76.73.3.162 24" to the client folder which is a notepad  folder ( right? ) , the change wont be saved.
it says : cannot save client.ovpn file. make sure that the path and file name are correct.

what should I do about this ?

Thanks, adding "remote 76.73.3.162 24" works for me. However, Hulu recognizes this IP as an anonymous proxy. Is there any other address or way to watch Hulu?

HULU is blocking connections coming from proxies.
I gave up with HULU.

well... still trying to find a way with google.

"Cannot save client.ovpn" ? Try closing ultravpn first. And launch it after saving.

To use a specific proxy adress, you can write one adress only in client.ovpn (leaving the others as comments). So you'll see if this adress is ok or not.

If you are having trouble saving client.ovpn file in windows Vista/7 that is because you have notepad open as a regular user and editing a protected file in program files directory you have to elevate notepad to administrative privilege first by right clicking on notepad and choosing "Run as administrator" then open and browse for client.ovpn file and it will save probably, also if you need ultravpn to use the first proxy in remote list you need to precede the remote-random line with a # symbol to comment it then ultravpn will use the first proxy in the list.

it will look like this after editing:
Code: [Select]
#remote-random

remote 76.73.3.162 24
remote servers443.ultravpn.fr 443
remote servers24.ultravpn.fr 24
remote servers21.ultravpn.fr 21
remote servers54.ultravpn.fr 54
remote servers24.ultravpn.net 24
remote servers443.ultravpn.net 443

hope that helps.
